I got my nails done an want to change the color%26gt; I looked it up and it says use non acetone remover. What if I use remover with acetone...Remove polish from gel nails?
acetone will ruin your nails and you'll have to go back and get them re-done all over again. Just follow instructions and use non acetone and save a chunk of change.
good luck.Remove polish from gel nails?
First of all, are you SURE that you have real UV gel nails? It's really simple to tell if you have UV gel nails, or acrylic nails. If the tech used ANY liquid and powder on your nails, then you have acrylic nails, and not gel nails. It doesn't matter what the tech told you they were, UV gel nails never, ever use liquid and powder in their application. It's that simple. Gel nails are made from UV nail gels, and nothing but gels. They look exactly like the name implies - like a gel. There is no such thing as 'powder' gel either. Each individual layer of gel MUST be cured under a UV lamp for 2 minutes. There is usually about 3-4 individual layers of gels applied on your nails. Again, NO liquid and powder is ever used in the application of gel nails. Thus, if you paid for gel nails, and had liquid and powder applied on your nails, well, you just got scammed. It happens all the time in these strip mall chop shops that charge dirt cheap prices and where they can't understand a word you are saying? Those places...
Why do I ask this anyway? Because UV gel nails are non-porous. This means that they do not readily absorb liquids. And acetone is not an exception to this rule. You could soak real UV gel nails in pure acetone for an hour or two with little to no damage to them. So to answer your question: It is completely safe to use acetone based nail polish remover - OR pure acetone (most effective, and fastest remover for polish) provided you have real UV gel nails. Acrylic nails are porous, and as a result, they readily absorb liquids. That is the reason why acetone, and acetone nail polish remover can damage them.
Acetone will melt the fake nail and make it stick to your fingers, it's gross and I have made that mistake before.

What is better hair gel, mousse, hair polish or leave on conditioners?
are there gels and mousse that feels soft to the touch and not sticky? how about those hair polish that appear too shiny? help please!!! no specific amount limitations...What is better hair gel, mousse, hair polish or leave on conditioners?
Just experiment around. It depends on your hair type. If you do use a gloss, though, focus on your ends if it's one of the ones you put on dry, because if you put it on at the roots too much it will make your hair look greasy. What is better hair gel, mousse, hair polish or leave on conditioners?
Hello, I can only speak for myself . You will need to try them to truly know how it will affect your hair and if you like it or not. Personaly ive found mousse to be softer on the hair, to the touch and not as sticky. Too shiny ?? How could your hair be too shiny, shiny hair is a youthful healthy look on anyone in my opinion. :)
I bleached my hair a few months ago, and it was FRIED! I used Redken Extreme Anti-Snap leave in conditioner (it restores the proteins in your hair to make it stretch when you brush it instead of break) and my hair has never been shinier, softer, or more beautiful!
I like hair gel (fructis)
garnier fructis leave in conditioner
I prefer Leave On Conditioners, myself.

Tresemme No frizz shine spray. After I spray on my leavein conditioner (Paul Mitchell) and mousse (Garnier Fruitice)- I use the shine spray. That is what makes my hair so soft. If I had to only keep one product, this would be it- HANDS DOWN!!!Mini Scooter

Nail polish & gel nails?
well i have gel nails for about a month now. i want to put color nail polish on but i dont know if it safe or not. so can i put color nail polish on gel nails???? plz helpNail polish %26amp; gel nails?
Yes, I have gel nails and paint them regularly. It is safe to paint them. However, if you need to remove any nail polish use non-acetone nail polish remover. Always seal the nailpolish with a clear overcoat this will help them appear shiny like you are looking at the gel nail itself. It also helps so they don't get scratched. :-)Nail polish %26amp; gel nails?
I am a nail tech and yes it is safe, when you take off your polish use non-acetone remover, or it could make your nails become sticky.
Of course you can.
i have no idea what gel nails or but i say go for it
lol

My tech put a UV Gel top coat on acrylic tips over my polish. Now I have cracks/peels. Why? How do I fix it?
You cannot do this yourself. A nail tech that specializes in UV gels should do it for you. I don't ever put UV topcoat on top of regular polish, only UV gel polish.
Does anyone know about gel nails? do they come in a polish /varnish?
my nails are really brittle and break all the time, i dont want to have acrylic or pay to have them done every couple of weeks, i need a bottle of polish /varnish like the gel they use (not in a pot), does this exist?Does anyone know about gel nails? do they come in a polish /varnish?
i know a little bit about gel nails. it will not help ur dry brittle nails. it will probably make them worse, but it will cover it up. they put gel on ur nails and dry it with a special light (it looks amazing)
then once it grows out, you keep getting new applications. if you don't want them anymore, they file it off.Does anyone know about gel nails? do they come in a polish /varnish?
I havent seen UV gel come in polish style bottles but it may exist. You can also get coloured UV polish, nail varnish that needs UV light to cure, but that also comes in a pot.
For your brittle nails I'd suggest getting some cuticle oil and using it at least twice a day, it will help with the brittleness and the massaging effect will generally help your nail growth. It will be a few weeks before you see the benefit of this but you will see it.
No, gel is gel and you need a light to harden it.

UV gel nails - can I put a coat on over normal nail polish and cure?
Would it help normal nail polish to last longer and not chip?UV gel nails - can I put a coat on over normal nail polish and cure?
no the only way to make your nail varnish to last longer is to put a base coat on wait for that to dry then the nail varnish wait to dry then a top coat you get them at a chemist it tells you on the bottle what they are im a manicuristUV gel nails - can I put a coat on over normal nail polish and cure?
You can actually get colored UV Gel polish now, which goes on in two coats and is cured in a UV lamp. Bio sculpture makes some great colored UV Gels. They have a ton of colors, and a local nail technician or aesthetician should have these available for you.
No. Its would be too smooth and wouldn't hold
